The Magical NorthWest

I was fortunate enough to extend a work trip in Seattle a few days with my wife. It was mid April and our timing was perfect. Clear skies for almost the entire time we were there, which in Seattle land is unheard of.

We obviously explored the Seattle sights before heading off into the woods.

The fish market had fresh fish, and flowers.

We did Chihuly Gardens and the Space Needle which are right next to each other.

This is all glass!!!

Obligatory Hipster pose.

Free photo with ticket purchase.

Glass inside and out. All of it was amazing.

We then took the trip to the woods where we stayed at…. Treehouse Point in Fall City. Only about 30 miles from downtown Seattle but you will really feel like your in the forest. The property developed 6 amazing, and different tree houses along with a lodge which hosted breakfast and community fun. All created by the tv star on Treehouse Masters Pete Nelson. We were lucky enough to get the Burl.

This place was magical. So close to society but somehow totally disconnected. We did yoga the first night we arrived on site and shavasana looking out to the forest couldn’t be better.

Hiking was amazing. The trees are so colorful and really alive. A normal 60 minute hike took twice the time for us as we had to stop and just soak it all in.

Rattlesnake Ledge and Lake.

Probably the best dog walkers we’ve ever seen.

Moss was everywhere.

We were beat after this to say the least. The staff at Treehouse Point not only pointed us to the hike but also great food at night.

This was the first trip my wife did not get homesick. Normally she is the one ready to go home, but I had to almost drag her out of the treehouse. One of the best trips we ever had. Highly recommend Seattle and the surrounding areas. It allowed us to connect closer as a couple and get closer to nature. Not much more you can ask for. #bestdayofmylife

Here are some more photos to show how great this place was.

  1. Thanks for the nice feature in your blog, Alex and Ling! We are all enjoying the sock-gifts from Bombas you left for us and hope to see you here in the trees for another stay sometime soon! And, remember, our winter is generally kinder than yours, so anytime of year is good for a getaway. 😉
